What makes Akkru's data different?
Most APIs give you a number and that's it — one revenue figure, one profit number. We give you everything that's actually inside the filing: every detail from the footnotes (the stuff most APIs throw away), the breakdowns by product, region, and quarter, how each number is built — what adds up to what — and the math the company used to get there. Every single value is clickable, taking you straight to the exact spot it came from in the original SEC filing.
On top of that, we calculate standard metrics for you — return on equity, gross margin, free cash flow, dozens more — and for each one we show you the exact formula plus the raw numbers that went into it. When a metric involves a judgment call (like what counts as "operating" vs "non-operating"), we include a note explaining the choice we made, so you can spot it and override it if you disagree. So if you or your AI need to double-check, recalculate, or actually trust a number — you can.

Yes. Every plan includes native MCP server support at https://api.akkrudata.ai/mcp. Authenticate via OAuth and call Akkru from your AI agent with zero glue code.
What filings does Akkru cover today?
Today: SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, 40-F and their /A amendments) for US domestic and foreign issuers, plus Korean DART filings (사업보고서 / 분기보고서), Japanese EDINET filings (有価証券報告書 / 四半期報告書), and European ESEF annual reports covering the UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. CN / HK on the roadmap. Other filing types (8-K, Form 3/4/5, 13F, 13D/G, S-1, proxy, transcripts) are marked "Coming soon" above.
What metrics do you calculate?
43 standardized metrics across 6 categories — profitability, growth, financial health, efficiency, cash flow, and valuation. Every metric ships with its formula and the underlying XBRL facts, so the calculation is fully transparent and auditable.
Can I override formulas with my own?
Yes — on Pro and above, pass a formula_override to any metric endpoint. The response still carries underlying facts and SEC source links, so your custom number stays fully auditable.
Can I monitor my credit usage in real time?
Yes. Call GET /billing/balance anytime — it's free (0 credits). The dashboard also shows usage over time.
What if I run out of credits?
Upgrade anytime — your remaining usage carries over. Or, buy a one-time credit pack from the dashboard. We never silently fail mid-query.
What about non-US companies?
Korea, Japan, and Europe via ESEF (UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway) are live today on Enterprise plans. CN / HK are on the roadmap; Canada / others are available today via the existing 20-F / 40-F SEC route. Contact sales for details.
