Responses

#Response detail

Endpoints that list a detail field accept "full" (default), "light" or "minimal"; all three are charged the same.

  • "full" returns everything.
  • "light" leaves out the fields listed under each endpoint.
  • "minimal" returns only the values and what identifies them; sources, links, calculation details and prior versions are left out.

#Filing caveats

A filing may carry a free-text disclaimer about the completeness of its data. When present, it appears:

  • As a caveat field on the filing information (top-level for single-filing responses; per-row in results[] for compare endpoints; per-item in filings[] for POST /data/filings). Either null / absent (no caveat), or a string.
  • On endpoints that return facts or statements, as a _warnings entry of the form Filing <TICKER> <FORM> FY<YEAR>[ <QUARTER>] has caveat: <text>. Compare endpoints aggregate per-filing caveats into a single deduplicated _warnings list.
